Windows 10 Offline Maps updated with new features

Microsoft has just released an important update for Offline Maps available on Windows 10, allowing users on specific regions to enjoy latest and updated map data without Internet connection.

More specifically, users in Algeria can now navigate without the need for Internet, as they can download the maps via Wi-Fi and then use them to get navigation instructions with no Internet coverage.

Belarus users can also benefit from greater coverage as far as the Minsk area is concerned, while some other locations, including Cocos Island, Christmas Island, and Norfolk Island are now available as navigable maps.

Additionally, full national transit coverage has been provided by Microsoft’s maps app for users in Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, while transit coverage is also coming to Vancouver in Canada, Lisbon in Portugal, and two Hungarian cities, Pecs and Miskolc.

The new features are available on both PC and mobile devices running Windows 10. To download offline maps users have to launch the Settings app, go to Apps -> Offline maps and look for mapping data for their location.
